Talking points before the final
Can the top order handle left-arm swing?
Madushanka’s new-ball spell did most of the damage on 27 October. Pakistan’s first ten overs, and how the openers play the left-armer, could decide the final.
Backing for Babar and Fakhar
Batting coach Mike Smith publicly backed Babar Azam and Fakhar Zaman after the defeat, saying there was “zero doubt” about them, according to media reports. Both will be expected to anchor a bigger total than 110.
Home advantage
The last three tri-series games, including the final, are in Lahore, so both sides have now seen the conditions at Gaddafi Stadium.
