ACT/SAT route
Students with ACT or SAT scores do not need to take NET. The last date for ACT/SAT-based applications, and for NUST to receive the scores, is 25 July 2027. The start date differs between NUST’s own pages (4 May 2027 on the schedule page, 20 April 2027 on the admissions portal), so confirm it on the portal nearer the time.
How to register
- Go to NUST’s undergraduate admissions portal, ugadmissions.nust.edu.pk.
- Choose “New Registration for NET” and create an account for session 2027.
- Fill in your academic details, select the test series and centre, and complete the steps shown on the portal, including the test fee.
Which series should you choose?
- Series 1 suits students who are already well prepared and want an early test date.
- Students who want more preparation time can register for Series 2 or 3.
- Students outside Islamabad should note that Quetta, Karachi and Gilgit centres are only offered in Series 2 and 4.
Check eligibility (minimum marks and subject requirements for each programme) on NUST’s eligibility page before registering. For other admissions, see university admissions in Pakistan.
