How to apply for the PM Youth Chromebook Scheme
- Check your board’s list. Boards send the names of shortlisted top performers to IBCC. BISE Multan, for example, has published a PDF list of eligible 9th class candidates on its website.
- Open the IBCC portal at pmychromebooks.ibcc.edu.pk and select your board.
- Find your record by entering your CNIC/B-Form number, roll number or registration number (numbers only, no dashes) and your date of birth.
- Check your details. Your name, school and marks are pulled from your board’s list.
- Upload documents (see the list below).
- Submit and save your slip. You get a reference number and a slip to download.

Boards covered
The portal lists all nine Punjab boards (Lahore, Gujranwala, Faisalabad, Multan, Rawalpindi, Sargodha, Bahawalpur, DG Khan and Sahiwal), eight Khyber Pakhtunkhwa boards (Peshawar, Mardan, Swat, Malakand, Abbottabad, Bannu, DI Khan and Kohat), BBISE Quetta, AJK BISE Mirpur and FBISE Islamabad. Sindh’s boards were not listed on the portal when we checked; Sindh students should follow their board’s announcements.
Important points
- Deadlines differ by board. BISE Multan’s notice asked its students to register by 19 October 2026. Check your own board’s website or contact the board for its date.
- Record not found? Try your roll number or registration number instead of your CNIC/B-Form. If it still does not appear, contact your board.
- You cannot edit after submitting, so check everything on the review screen.
- False information cancels the Chromebook allocation and may lead to further action.
- The portal does not mention any application fee. Use only the official IBCC portal and ignore anyone asking for money or offering to “guarantee” a Chromebook.
What is still unclear
The government has not yet announced how many Chromebooks each board will get, the exact merit cut-off or when distribution will begin. We will update this page when official details are released. For more education news, see the 1st year result 2026 and new Punjab school timings.
