How Punjab candidates scored

Marks (out of 180) Candidates
170–180 1,772
160–169 6,682
150–159 6,260
89 or below 7,018

About 14,700 Punjab candidates scored 150 or more in the MDCAT 2026 result. Since public medical college seats are limited, merit for top colleges is likely to remain high, so candidates in the 150s should apply widely, including to private colleges, rather than relying on one choice.

How to check your MDCAT 2026 result

  1. Go to the result portal of the university that conducted your test: UHS for Punjab, KMU for Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, or the admitting university for your region.
  2. Enter your roll number or CNIC as asked.
  3. Download and save your result card. You will need it for college admission applications.

Candidates from Sindh, Balochistan and other regions should check the official portal of their own admitting university, which publishes results separately.

MDCAT 2026 passing marks

The MDCAT has 180 marks. The PMDC’s qualifying marks are:

  • MBBS: 55%, or 99 out of 180
  • BDS: 50%, or 90 out of 180

Passing only makes you eligible. Admission depends on your merit, which combines your MDCAT score with your academic results under the admission policy of your province or university.

Why the test date changed

On 6 August 2026, the PMDC said the test had been rescheduled from 16 August to 20 September on the directions of the prime minister, to ensure a “smooth, secure and transparent” exam (Dawn). Before the change, a Senate health subcommittee had raised concerns about complaints over the test, and students in Azad Kashmir had reported registration problems during an internet shutdown.

What to do after the MDCAT 2026 result

  • Keep your result card, CNIC or B-Form, and matric and intermediate documents ready for admission forms.
  • Follow only official notices from the PMDC and your admitting university for admission schedules and merit lists.
  • Students who plan to study medicine abroad should note that the PMDC requires them to qualify MDCAT and register with the council before going.
