Camon 40 vs Infinix Note 50 Pro
The Camon 40 shares a lot with the Infinix Note 50 Pro, which comes from the same parent group, Transsion. Both use the Helio G100 Ultimate chip, a 6.78-inch AMOLED screen and a 5,200mAh battery, and both are 4G phones. The differences matter for your budget:
| Tecno Camon 40 | Infinix Note 50 Pro | |
|---|---|---|
| Listed price | Rs. 57,999 (8/256GB) | Rs. 89,999 (12/256GB) |
| Refresh rate | 120Hz | 144Hz |
| Wired charging | 45W | 90W |
| Wireless charging | No | 30W |
| Headphone jack | Yes | No |
If you do not need wireless charging or the faster 90W charger, the Camon 40 gives you the same core performance for about Rs. 32,000 less at current listings.
Camon 40 or Camon 40 Pro?
The Camon 40 Pro reached Pakistan first, on 5 April 2025, and the standard Camon 40 followed the same month. Both have the same 7.3mm design and, according to WhatMobile, similar performance. The standard model cuts back on durability features and on the selfie camera, which lacks the Pro’s eye-focus. If selfies are not a priority, the lower Tecno Camon 40 price in Pakistan makes the standard model the better value of the two.
Battery and durability
Tecno says the Camon 40’s 5,200mAh battery is rated for 1,800 charge cycles and is designed to stay consistent for around five years. The phone also carries an IP66 rating for dust and water jets and an SGS drop-resistance rating, as reported by WhatMobile. These are manufacturer claims, but they suggest the phone is built to last longer than many budget models.
Buying tips
- At the current Tecno Camon 40 price in Pakistan, check that you are getting the 8GB/256GB model with a Tecno official warranty, not a grey import.
- Confirm that the box includes the 45W charger, since slower chargers will not give the advertised speed.
- If you are buying on instalments, compare the total amount with the cash price before signing.
Who should buy it
The Camon 40 suits buyers who want a slim (7.3mm) phone with a good main camera, solid battery life and an AMOLED screen at under Rs. 60,000. It is less suited to heavy gamers or anyone who wants 5G; for 5G, see where it is available in our 5G in Pakistan report. Note that Tecno has since launched the newer Camon 50 series, which sells at higher prices.
Before you pay, check the phone’s IMEI on PTA’s DIRBS portal and ask for the official Tecno warranty card.
