Who is eligible?
- Students enrolled in government or public schools. Private school students are not eligible.
- Punjab, Sindh, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan: top performers of Grade 9 (SSC-I) in the 2026 annual exams.
- Islamabad (ICT), AJK and Gilgit-Baltistan: top performers of both Grade 9 and Grade 10.
- Your name must appear on the list your board has sent to IBCC. Each student can apply only once.
How to apply on the IBCC portal
- Open pmychromebooks.ibcc.edu.pk and select your board (all Punjab and KP boards, BBISE Quetta, AJK BISE Mirpur and FBISE are listed).
- Enter your CNIC/B-Form, roll number or registration number (numbers only) and your date of birth.
- Check your name, school and marks, which come from your board’s list.
- Upload a recent colour photo, your mark sheet, an attested copy of your B-Form and an attested copy of your father’s or guardian’s CNIC (each file up to 300 KB).
- Submit and download your slip with the reference number.
If your record is not found, try your roll or registration number instead of the B-Form. If it is still missing, contact your board. Giving false information cancels the allocation.
What about Sindh?
According to the portal, registration for Sindh students will open on the same portal after all Sindh boards announce their Class 9 Annual Examination 2026 results.
500,000 or 700,000 Chromebooks?
At the launch, the Prime Minister said 500,000 Chromebooks would be distributed over two years. In December 2025, the PM’s Youth Programme had announced 0.7 million Chromebooks to be distributed in phases, according to a government press release. In August 2026, the PM said 250,000 high-achieving students would receive Chromebooks this year. We will update this page if the government confirms the final number.
What it means for students
A Chromebook lets students study online, do assignments and learn digital skills at home. Because selection depends on board results, the device goes to students who did well in Class 9; schools and parents should make sure each student’s data with the board is correct, as the portal only accepts records on the board’s list.
Frequently asked questions
