Under the School Education Department’s schedule, candidates on the final list sign their agreement (appointment) letters on 2 November and join schools on 3 November 2026. STI final merit list 2026: how to check
- Open the official STI portal, sti.pesrp.edu.pk. Avoid “merit list PDF” websites; they are not official and are often out of date.
- Find the final merit list for your district, tehsil and the school you applied to.
- Look for your name and CNIC and note your position on the list.
- If the portal is slow, check the list displayed on the school’s notice board or at your district education office (CEO / DEO).

Take your original CNIC, degrees and the documents you showed at the interview when you go to sign the agreement. Exact arrangements are set by each district, so follow the instructions from your school head or district education office. If your name is not on the final list and you believe there is an error, contact the same office promptly, before appointments are made on 2 November.

STI interview 2026: what to bring
- Original CNIC and a copy.
- Original degrees, transcripts and certificates listed in your application, with attested copies.
- B.Ed / M.Ed or higher qualification certificates, as these carry extra merit marks.
- Proof of residence for your union council, since merit includes marks for the relevant union council.
- Your printed application form and the STI merit list showing your name.

STI merit list 2026 and appointment
The final STI merit list is due on 31 October 2026. Candidates on the final list will sign agreements on 2 November and join schools on 3 November. Selection is based on academic marks, extra qualifications (such as B.Ed, M.Ed, MPhil or PhD), union council marks and the interview. Check the official STI portal and your district education office for the final list; do not rely on unofficial “merit list” websites.
Is STI a permanent job?
No. The School Teacher Internship is a temporary paid internship that ends on 31 May 2027. It does not lead to a permanent government job, but interns receive a certificate on completion, which can help in future teaching recruitment.
